Course description:
- The risk management process is explained in detail; risk control is defined.
- Both types of hazards are reviewed: unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
- Focus is placed on reading and understanding loss run reports; seeing trends, and using the data to prevent future losses.
- The hierarchy of controls and return on investment (ROI) are explained and how they can be used to develop effective loss controls.
- Students are coached on setting goals, using ROI, creating an executive summary, and developing a loss prevention plan when communicating with senior management.
